By train
You can easily reach us by train via St. Gallen, Gossau, or Altstätten. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from the train station.
Our tip: Guests staying three nights or more receive the Appenzeller Holiday Card, which includes public transport to and from your destination.
By plane
The nearest airport is Zurich-Kloten. From there, you can easily reach us in about 1 ¾ hours by train. Simply travel in the direction of St. Gallen and change to the Appenzeller Bahnen in St. Gallen or Gossau.
Getting to Hotel Säntis
Located in the heart of Appenzell on Landsgemeindeplatz, Hotel Säntis allows convenient drop-off and pick-up directly at the entrance. Public parking is available nearby. Our tip: reserve the hotel’s own parking spaces online when booking your room.
Parking
The Hotel Säntis has outdoor and underground parking spaces available for a fee (with e-charging stations on request). These parking facilities are also available to guests of the Hotels Hecht and Löwen. The distance is approximately 2 to 3 minutes on foot.
A blue zone with a maximum parking time of one hour is located directly in front of Hotel Säntis. Additional public parking spaces are available throughout Appenzell for a fee.
Getting to Hotel Hecht
Located in the pedestrian zone, Hotel Hecht allows short stops in front of the hotel for loading and unloading luggage. Public parking or parking at our partner hotel, Hotel Säntis, is available for a fee. Our tip: book your parking space at Hotel Säntis online when booking your room.
Getting to Hotel Löwen
Hotel Löwen is located in the pedestrian zone. You may stop briefly in front of the hotel to load or unload your luggage. Afterwards, public parking (subject to a charge) or the parking facilities at our partner hotel, Hotel Säntis, are available.
